Old report:
A couple of days ago I talked with Clark Gruening who is a young adventurer
just back from a summer long canoe trip down the Yukon. He told me the
Athabascan Indians along part of the river have stories about an occasionally
seen forest giant they call the gaga or the woodsman. One of Clark's
companions was tall and hairy bearded and the Indian kids were scared
of him because of his resemblance to the legendary 'gaga.' The beast is bearded and of enormous height, covered with black hair. His footprints range from 11 inches to 22 inches.
