Twp Portage County, Ohio March 10 1977 published in the Ravenna Ohio Record Courier Mrs. Barbara Pistilli phone the sheriff's office at 7 p.m., to report that half an hour earlier she and two teenagers saw a giant furry creature approaching the house and shot it in the arm. They told deputies it was 8 feet tall, weighed about 500 pounds and walked out of the woods and started across the field towards the house. Fled when shot at.
