Great Falls, Montana December 26, 1975 Sheriff's captain Keith Wolverton, Cascade County said two young women
reported watching three hair covered creatures emerge from some brush
and walk into a field. One fired a rifle over their heads at about 150
feet and the creatures fled back into the bush. They estimated their height
at 7 feet, 6 feet and the smaller one at 5 feet tall. The witnesses passed

- - - - - Ulm, Montana February 21, 1976 Two boys, ages 12 and 13 were south of the Ulk Bridge over the Missouri
River just before noon when one saw a hair covered arm extending through
some brush. The other boy who was ahead saw a very tall creature covered
with blackish brown hair and eyes that glowed whitish yellow. Not reported
to the Wolverton Sheriff for 16 days but when it was reported both

A Man from Browning reported seeing a bigfoot to District Ranger Bob Forsen,
he has the report according to Mrs. Jerry Pannomi of Babb, Montana. In
June and July of 1975 they heard screams...

A 15 year old boy, returning to Country Lanes Trailer Park on Bicycle
on Dempsey Road about 9 o'clock at night saw a hairy creature standing
in the road. It moved rapidly through the hedge onto the house lot and
was described as a sasquatch-like thing. Great Falls Sheriff's Department

A woman who wouldn't give her name phoned sheriff to report on road to
Shelby, north of Vaughn, that she shaw a creature in ditch, one arm forward
as if it was going to cross the road. It was 7 feet tall, covered with
reddish brown hair about 4.5 inches in length. She gave no other details.

February 1976
Leonard Hegele of East Helena Montana was driving interstate 15 south
of Great Falls International Airport when he saw a large humanoid creature
walking in a field a quarter mile from the highway. He pursued it with
a .357 magnum. It turned to face him so he beat it. Estimated it's height
at 7 feet tall with 3 feet wide shoulders, solid and muscular. Thought
feet were approximately 14-16 inches but saw no tracks, its arms swung
at its side. While running Hegele couldn't keep up, only got within 700
feet of it running. He told Cascade County Sheriff about it, wife and
children were with him. This was published in the Great Falls Tribune.

Near Vaughn, Montana
October 12, 1976
Gail Kapptie and son found sheep pen gate pushed in and 18 inch, four
toe footprints. A lot of grain gone from a barrel. That night when the
dog was barking, she went out and saw the dog barking at an 8 foot tall,
tan, ape-like creature with very long arms standing upright by the chicken

Dr. Joseph Feathers, Western Montana College of Education in the 60's
wrote that Dean Staton found bare human footprint in snow, which measured
17 inches by 9 inches by 5 inches that seemingly stepped over a windfall
four feet high without breaking stride. They tracked the thing 300 yards

Frank Zalenski of Great Falls, Montana wrote in a letter to Roger Patterson
that he, Zalenski and his partner Bob Marshall were hunting and happened
upon a fair size footprint. "I put my boot in it and it was still

Carole Munson and nine other people followed good tracks on a snowfield
measuring 16 inches by 8 inches by 4 inches, which took 5 foot strides
three inches deep in surface over frozen snow for a quarter mile. The

Summer 1973
Informant Wayne Schrieber went fishing at a place called "Apes' Den
Creek" and saw giant human like tracks on sand bar. Later had rock
big as football thrown over his head from 100 feet away, then giant branches

A family by the name of Snyder while partying hears loud screams outside.
They rushed out and found 18 inch footprints. The grandfather told of
hearing loud screams frequently while living in the same area.

An unnamed woman was out riding with her dogs, found two sets of tracks,
one with only three toes and just the front part of the foot. Dogs went
wild at the scent. The woman took pictures of the footprints. 16 inch
track with 5 toes; large second toe. The tracks of the creature going

A worker for the Kalispell paper was in the bush looking for a hermit
for an interview and got lost. Heard a sound like "happy wailing
- rhythmic singsong." Then he saw coming down off of the hill at
a moderate speed, a gray haired "B-grade Gorilla Movie Creature." It was swinging arms and had a small head, disappeared among the trees.

Roy W. Rye, a university educated experienced bear hunter from Billings
Montana was out hunting grizzly in the early afternoon upon seeing large
tracks in the snow he noticed a creature resting its head and arms on
a fallen tree five or six feet above snow. It had a large flat head, sloping
shoulders, stubby ears, short neck, was brownish gray haired. It screamed
and rocked from side to side and slobbered. Four men disappeared in this
area in two years. Broken Rifle found. This report was published in Montana
Sports Outdoors in December of 1960 and in Saga Magazine in

Reed Christenson and family, while nearing the top of the pass, saw a
6 foot tall dark brown creature with long fangs, long arms and no neck.
It walked to the side of the road and went up bank and watched their car

An Army National Guard Flyer whose name is held confidential, was flying
through the canyon, on steep side he noticed a gray object. For within
100 yards of it and said "it looked like a big man in a Shiny blanket
with his knees pulled up." Return pass over the area 30 seconds later it was gone.
Figures no human could have got near to timber in that time. He was supposed
to be flying from Helena, Montana to Lewiston Idaho, but if so, by my atlas,

Steve Filtcher of Roseburg Oregon and Rose and Jerry Filtcher of Eugene
Oregon were fishing a mile east of Bonner, Montana when Steve saw what
he thought was a bear, but it had a man like face, was manlike in form
and walk upright. It was brownish black and about 8 feet tall. All three

a grove along the Bitterroot River when they saw 200 yard away a large
hair covered figure walking quickly from one side of a clearing to the
other side of the clearing. It was brown, very large, upright at all times

A witness who wished to be kept confidential reported he was hiking up
to the viewpoint when he turned around to look for his two companion hikers.
The three of them saw a groups of two 8 to 10 foot manlike creatures come
out of a grove of trees 150 yards behind them. They came toward him a
few minutes then went over the bank. The hikers coming up the trail behind
them saw the creatures also. The area was too rocky for footprints. Greg
