The Poplar River Indian Band continue to report many on the reserve have seen many times over, a large hairy animal that walks on two legs; 7-8 feet tall, very broad shoulders, built like man but much larger. Investigating officer cast tracks that were 16 inches by 5 inches wide, only three toes visible and there were other tracks. Hair described as glossy grey, with white hair on its head. It has been seen swimming and is very inquisitive towards people, looks into their windows and doors. There is a long history of these creatures in this area of Norway House.
