Mecosta County, Michigan At the home of Becky and Bob Kurtz in wooded area near Barryton, two nights running, on bare ground near trash burner behind the house found 16 1/2 by 9 1/2 inch footprints with 5 to 6 foot strides, very deep! Big and fierce dogs were terrified. Garbage not disturbed, but spoiled peaches disappeared. Bob Kurtz made two casts. Tracks were seen by Gene Little (wildlife Photographer) and Gordon Charles (Outdoor editor). Deepest footprint was 3 1/2 inches deep. The 178 pound man sand only 1.2 inch.
