30th Anniversary of the creature in Fouke, Arkansas

June 2001: After the 1971 reported sighting of a 7-foot, hairy creature in Fouke, Arkansas, monster mania swamped the small, Miller County community. A Little Rock radio station offered a reward of more than $1,000 to anyone who could find the creature. Willie Smith, a soybean farmer, made a mold of a three-toed footprint he found in his fields. Smith later made copies of the mold and sold them as souvenirs. The original cast was destroyed in a fire.
