Ashley County, Arkansas, 1992

Dear Bobbie,

This sighting happened in 1992 on the way to Crossett, Arkansas, on Highway 133 South in Ashley County. The area is scarcely populated, if at all. The only town is at least 20 miles away and there were no homes in the area of the sighting since a huge paper company owns all the land. The only industry in the area is the occasional paper mill and logging.

We were driving rather slowly after we had passed over some railroad tracks, and from out of the forest beside the road, a huge, tall, hairy thing came running out and almost hit my window. I was in shock by what I saw, and after a couple of seconds, I asked my husband, "Did you see that?" He said, "Yeah, but, what was it?" We both agreed that we had seen a big, at least 7 to 8 foot tall, hairy, human-like creature beside the truck. I wanted to turn around but my husband said, "I made it past that dude once, I'm not going back and try it again." No, it wasn't a bear. This thing was running upright and was definitely partially human. We're just grateful that it didn't hit us or jump into the back of the truck.
