Denali County Cantwell, Alaska
September, 1986, late afternoon
Closest road would be Denali
In the late afternoon, I was caribou hunting on ATV’s with friends, when we saw what was moving like
a moose but it was walking on two legs, its stride was about 6 feet and it cross the stream in one step! It was approximately 9 feet tall. I've been hunting all my life in Alaska and never seen one till now. The area is rolling tundra and there is a small river nearby.
The creature was dark & would swing his arms as he walked. There were grizzlies around at the time we saw it. They grizzly didn’t mess with it. I know other hunters have seen it at different places where the place is full of them.
